The St-V (Sega Titan Video System) format was released in 1995 and is based on the Sega Saturn console and runs on game cartridges- much like a console. It is essentially the same system with ROM cartridges being used instead of CDs. The main advantage of this was to allow for easy porting of Saturn games to the Arcade hardware.
