Evo Play 4-Player Custom Arcade Machine

Cabinet Finish

All BA arcade machines come hand-finished in black satin as standard although the finish can be upgraded to almost any RAL/paint colour or wood veneer as you would prefer for an additional charge.  Your machine can also be hand-finished in a number of specialist finishes such as a quad polish or chameleon finish that really adds a special custom touch. 

Set/Custom Graphics

With all of our BA machines, you can also choose to have custom graphics on your cabinet with any finish as preferred.  All BA machines can have a range of custom graphics options so you can get your machine exactly as you wish graphics-wise. For our uprights, you can have a custom marquee (top graphic) or for our tables an under-glass graphic, if you have a favourite game or would like a personal message.  We can provide full custom side graphics if you have a custom design in mind as well as control panel and front graphics as you so choose.

Arcade Joysticks

For your joysticks, you can choose between our standard classic Suzo Happ bat-top sticks (best all-rounders) or our Sanwa ball-top sticks (best for fighting games).  We also have an upgrade to servo sticks which are Sanwa sticks (with bat/ball top or both) but have a motor attached that allows you to change from 4-way to 8-way (or back) at the touch of a button combo. The servos are great if you want to play 4-way games without the risk of hitting the corners (you do get used to all the sticks after a while but some people prefer the choice as they can find it harder to avoid hitting corners and getting slowed down in games like Pac-Man) and are also great all round sticks on 8-way mode.  These servos are probably the best sticks in our opinion but you should be happy with any of the 3 so it is up to you if you would like to upgrade.  There is also now an option on our Apex/Evo cabinets to have illuminated ball-tops for the Servo sticks to go with the RGB buttons/trackball as shown below.

Arcade Buttons

For your buttons, we usually recommend our standard classic concave arcade buttons (in black, white, red, blue, green, yellow, orange, purple, light grey or others on request) as they feel the best and the same as we were used to playing on back in the day. Here is an image of a sample control panel with all colour options shown. We do sell basic illuminated arcade buttons (in red, white or blue with other colours available on request) as some people prefer them but as they are flat and a bit spongier, in our opinion they just don’t feel as good to play with as the standard buttons.  We can source and install pretty much any buttons that you would like best for your cabinet so please don’t hesitate to ask if you have a particular preference.  If wanting RGB illuminated, then we have the RGB arcade buttons which are the same shape as the standard arcade buttons but with RGB colour-changing potential.  They work with the LED Blinky software that allows you to not only change each buttons colour individually (or together), but also to set each (or all) in each individual game amongst other things.  They are quite expensive (as they require a lot of extra work) and are not for everyone so whilst we are happy to advise, it is up to you as to which buttons you would prefer to have on your cabinet.

Arcade Trackball

A trackball is great if you want to play some games (Missile Command, Centipede/Millipede, Golden Tee, Marble Madness, etc) in the way they were played originally. Here is a list of games that play with a trackball for your reference. For our Synergy X, Evo and Nu-Gen models you can have an integrated trackball and for our Apex or Synergy you can have a trackball controller which can be plugged in via the USB ports as well as used on any compatible device to play all the best trackball games.  If going for the RGB arcade buttons then you can also have an RGB trackball which does look good as a package but again may not be to your taste!

Arcade Spinner

If you’re a fan of breakout games such as Arkanoid, Tempest or 720 or you know that your favourite game ran via a spinner then we can add one to your control panel so you can have the authentic feel that you remember. Here is a full list of games that play natively with a spinner for your reference.

Arcade Light Guns

If you’re partial to a good light gun game then we can provide either one or a pair of arcade light guns which can be added to your system.  This includes full installation and set-up so all you have to do is plug them in and prepare to take aim.  We also have holsters available to install on the side/front of your cabinet as you prefer.  If not interested immediately then we can usually install the sensor on your cabinet for no extra cost and you can add the guns at a later date.  Light guns are available for our Apex, Evo and Nu-Gen cabinets and here is a full list of compatible games.

Speaker Upgrade

All BA Play/Media machines can be upgraded to include BOSE sound to enhance gaming and the jukebox functionality. This option is included as standard on our Elite models.

iPhone Dock

you can choose to have an ipod/iphone dock installed in the front of the machine or upgrade any element of the PC inside the cabinet.

Next-Gen Console Compatibility

With our Evo/Nu-Gen machines, you already have the option to plug in any HDMI compatible device (such as console, etc) to play on the screen on your cabinet.  If you also wanted to be able to play the arcade-style console games (mainly fighting games like SFV, SFVI, MK11, etc) on your Evo cabinets arcade joysticks and buttons then you would consider our console controls compatibility option. This is designed mainly for fighting game fans who wish to play the newest console-based fighting games so many not be relevant to you.  All machines can be configured to be compatible with the latest consoles such as PS4/PS5 and XBOX ONE/Series X. Once configured, you can run your next-gen console via the screen and controls on your arcade cabinet – an unrivalled feature that allows you to combine the retro with the more modern if this takes your fancy.

Classic Console Pads

We can provide original console pads and USB adapters so that you can enjoy all your favourite older console games in the way that you used to on top of all your favourite arcade games.  We can supply console pads and adapters for most of the older consoles so please don’t hesitate to ask when placing your order. We can source retro original pads (NES, Megadrive, N64, etc) with USB adapters if you wanted to play any of the consoles with the original pads and don’t have any available. This is a cool option but not necessary to enjoy your machine but more as a purist memory of playing the games when you were younger!

Modern Wireless Console Pads 

Another option that would be worth considering is the options we offer for pads.  Some of the later consoles games on your Media/Elite will not transfer that well to the arcade controls so we usually recommend that you choose a pair of generic pads to go with your order unless you already have some that you would like to use on your system. If you don’t, we offer wired or wireless Logitech pads or wireless XBOX ONE pads so do let us know if you would like to include any. In terms of pads,

Karaoke Option

A great option to try to appease your other half if he/she likes this sort of thing!  For our karaoke option, we supply you with two microphones and some great Karaoke software so you can also practice your singing on your machine if so desired.  The software we use called UltraStar Deluxe and is a karaoke game in that you score points much like on the SingStar game. A fun addition that may help please some more resistant members of your family although in return you will have to endure their singing! ;)

Wireless Driving Wheel

Following much testing, the wireless driving wheel option is the best solution we have found for driving games without having a full wheel installed or purchasing a separate racer cabinet. The wireless driving wheel works like a Wii remote in that it judges your actions and is perfect for games such as Mario Kart. It also works well on the more traditional arcade drivers so is well worth considering if you are a fan of driving games.

Arcade Seating 

We can suggest or supply a range of bar stools or pod stools to complement your arcade cabinet so please don’t hesitate to ask if you would like to get some stools for added comfort when playing on your new arcade machine.
